redrock live lens mount timing

IS is doubly more useful with the new generation of rolling shutter CMOS cameras, as it can help hide or eliminate the "micro jitters" that are so much more visible in a rolling shutter camera.

Hi folks, good news is we received the spec (a bit like pulling teeth, but success), so we're looking through it to see what will give us the best bang for the buck (that is code for "what can we put in that doesn't add a lot of time to development, and doesn't increase the cost). Once we've been able to determine what features we can include and a rollout plan, we'll have some dates.

I agree with Barry IS is a good thing to have for handheld, it can really make a difference in the right circumstances. We're looking at that as well.

Hi Anatusa - not quite yet, but where we are is we have several people in the field who have finished their outside look on the LiveLens mft and it's ready to go. We are in production and it should be ready to go out this month. There is at least one DVXUser person who's been using it, I don't know if/when they'll comment but they sounded happy.

Cheers

So if your in production then you have final specs? Is it powered throuh the mount or does it need external power? Thanks,

wonderful ! so maybe u can post some pix of how final model looks like, and maybe you can tell us as well :
- if its powered through the camcorder or need external power?
- what lens futures does it support? AF, IS?
- final price maybe?

Yep - we'll publish everything at once including specs, pics, pricing, and availability. Really want to make sure we have it in stock when it's official.

Thanks

Brian
