Redrock for A1? Plus extras

hehe sorry man.. damn, i knew you would hate me for this, but really, it was not an attack at all! Just using your amazing movie as a demonstration!

Does this mean i cannot call on you in the future for help/opinions? The work you create is what i am setting out to do myself. Love the epicness.

( have i just burned a bridge!!! ? )

There are a lot of factors that effect the M2's ground glass... namely a battery that isn't brand new.

I've been using my M2 plenty and the only time that it shows up is when you're at about a 500 shutter on the HVX if you've got a brand new battery or external power running to it.

At 1/250 I can't see anything. And that's on a 42" 1080P LCD direct from the camera.

That said, and on topic, You can potentially use an adapter for any shoot, if you understand that you can't use it at every second.

"...can't use it at every second."

As in I would have to dedicate more time to setting up?

I could the adapter just (or mainly) for interviews, if just to throw the background out of focus - for b roll too. Hmmm.

if you are concerned with prep time and are thinking it would primarily be used in controlled interviews, then consider that screen you put behind the subject to blur things out. Wont have any issues with distortion or light loss. But if you want to do narratives in the future, it wont be too useful.

I just read the latest issue of Student Filmmakers today and it had a picture of a reporter doing a stand up in Iraq...otherwise I wouldn't know what "that screen" is. :-Laugh(DBG): thanks for the pointer, I was wondering what that was really for

I'm hating this idle time now, as I keep rethinking what I need and what I would like to do. It's just been a whole lot of reading, reading, reading... Thank you to everyone for the input on the adapter. If you have any other suggestions, ABOUT ANYTHING, please PM me.

Since the adapters all do essentially the same thing, who gives a crap what they look like? The Letus is the cheapest. That's all I care about.

oh yeah, as far as the adapter it fell to the bottom of the priority list. I think it is an incredible tool for filmmaking, but for this particular project I think it would just conflict or not be totally utilized.

But like I said, I'm saving up for one for personal use.
