Here is our 48 hour film festival entry shot in Kansas City. This was 85% shot on the Canon t2i, using the stock lens and a 50mm lens. The remaining portion was shot with our JVC GY HD100U. The only part I really regret was using the 50mm lens for our close up in the church where are actress moved out of her focus point and it is a bit blurry. I was the Producer/Director/DP/Lighting/Editor and ran 2 cameras, this is how the blurry thing happened. I can only be in so many places at once. Enjoy.

Hey man that was pretty cool. Starts off a bit weird and random but gets better as it goes along.
Nice fight scene, pretty good action. Only down side is the production feels very rushed in many places but that's obviously explained by it being a 48 Hour film entry I believe.

A few questions

1. Awesome explosion towards the end! How the HECK did you do that? I'm pretty sure that was real, did you seriously blow up a jug of gasoline in the middle of an indoor parking lot? Was awesome but seems really dangerous ...lol

2. What aspect ratio was that and how did you do it? It looks almost bloody anamorphic, that can't be 16:9 can it?

Thank you Homun, it was a little rushed being a 48 of course. The beginning sounded good and looked much better on paper, once we shot it and were stuck with it I didn't like it as much. She was supposed to be getting a text on her phone to warn her, but didn't have time to deal with rotoscoping due to time requirements so we had to skip it. The film is true 16x9, I added the 235:1 cinematic bars out of habit. Of course we didn't need them and I wished I would have removed them before uploading to youtube. And lastly the explosion was real, we actually blew up a pot of gas in a indoor parking garage. Seemed like a great idea at the time.

a lot of nice moments in there though. the church scenes were very filmic looking and well done just a shame about that whole bit of coverage where she's out of focus but the rest makes up for it.

but wowza...can't believe you really blew up a can of gas in a parking garage. so dangerous but hey mad props to you for going above and beyond as a filmmaker ...lol I probably shouldn't be condoning this but what the hell!:violent5:
