Red Scarlet music video 3k 48fps - 24p

what's it all mean? - it just isn't clear to me.

after some research I find that Talya dies of cancer before her 18th birthday. I assume the photo's are of her then - why not have them in chronological order? show us her journey.
and the song? - is that actually written by Tayla - why not let us know that up front to help give meaning to the clip?
who are the children? and why the wheelchair?

and why the wheelchair?
Maybe she can’t walk in real life.

Nice video. I think I got its message. I assume the words are from the girl who passed on? To me the empty house is the girl who was sick and represents her emotional state or how she felt…on the inside. As the music goes on we see what appears to be family and friends being invited in to see her emotional state but most importantly that she is still the same person on the inside (which is why we first see a picture of her when she was sick only to end up seeing a photo of her healthy). The empty place without furniture indicates she felt alone and probably missing the time spent with family and friends. But when they arrive they all have a brief moment of happiness dancing around doing their thing like they used to. Then, of course, time is up, everyone has to leave. As they leave you see a last photo of when she was healthy (indicating this is how I want you to remember me) and that little boy (who seems like family cause he looks like her) turn around and smile as if to say…this is how I will always remember you and see you soon. All we are left to see is her pretty photo and her voice (the singer).

Well….at least that’s my interpretation… :)
So, whether you meant to invoke any of those thoughts or not….it’s still a good video.

Ian, that about nails it. The house was not finished being built as I felt that was symbolic of her life, she still had so much to learn and do and give. The young boy is actually Tayla's brother and the kids some are her friends, some are from a charity choir (the charity was involved with Tayla).

tired: chronological order was the oringinal intention but we decided not to do that for various reasons. The song was mostly written by Tayla and Katie (singer) finished it. The children are some of Tayla's family, friends and Variety youth choir (charity). Katie is in the wheelchair in real life.

Picture: do you guys feel that it's to sharp on the talents faces? I mean, you can see the pores, the makeup, the tiny white hair, etc...

Yeah that's a fair call. There's probably two or three angles too sharp, revealing too much detail. I didn't do any post sharpening, some people like the really sharp look but I didn't want to see that level of detail on those shots. What methods would people use to soften part of a shot but not all? Masking?

Well basically you just have to soften the skin tones. In order to do that you can either mask out the face with a mask tool or you can key out the skin tones with HSL key. I usually use bot, as a scene can have tones that are similar to skin tones that you basically want to throw them out of the HSL key. A garbage mate basically.

This is for skin tone detail. But for the white puff, well, that I think just needs to be physically removed:):):)

Can you upload a few seconds of a close up that you think has to much detail on the talents face? Maybe we can try to fidl with it a bit and give you an example of how it could have looked...

Thanks for the info and the offer. I'm racing to finish another job before a holiday at the end of the week will try get a few seconds up tomorrow... Cheers!

I enjoyed watching and the music was great as well. I notice Nuno Bettencourt in the credits for music, is that the Nuno Bettencourt from Extreme?

Nicely done, I like the video and all, thought the music was awful though, no offense, just not a fan of the folky sound. However it's a cool dedication, always nice to remember people who touched lives.
