^ as I said before:
I am actually NOT saying that PC users won't tolerate Apple users. I know most PC users don't care...(I know I don't). It's just tiring to listen to NON-STOP "no one else in the world is relevant unless they shoot on Red". This thread's purpose is to update people to the fact that Red has renamed their S35 Scarlet to Epic Lite/Light (sp?). I thought...cool, fine, nice.
Every time a major movie is shot on Red, the crowing starts. Funny...I don't see Sony users barking at Panasonic users because Transformers 3 is being shot on a Sony product. So here's my point, ~again~ (in the context of this thread) Red renamed their product: (gasp)
We'll survive no matter what it's named. Whether it deploys in 2011 or 2020. The film industry will go on.
If this is "offensive"......(and I know it is to some people) This is where it gets plain silly. I've seen the same near "religious" tone from people about Steve Jobs...and by extension Apple. Hey....Final Cut reality check: of the 87 nominated Emmys how many used Final Cut? ZERO. Have you ever heard of Avid?
So...if it's ~blasphemy~ and an attack to say:
...no matter what you name your product.....you may want to check yourself. Someone on RedUser just called Jim Jannard "a prophet" (this entire thread was about how Apple's Qtime sucks and needs to be fixed BTW...it has been deleted because I was going to send you a link). No...I'm NOT giving my comments religious tones, (I didn't say that)...but it's my honest opinion that....we'll be just fine....and there are other options...and they're doing just fine too. If this is "an attack".....uh.....you may want to check yourself. Maybe this has gone beyond a "product"....and that isn't real healthy.
(still no bad blood....still sure everything will be fine)
BTW....I'd LOVE to meet up near Toronto (honestly), but I don't live near there....I'm sure you're a perfectly reasonable person with much to offer. Cheers!
just a little reminder that other tech is still out there and doing just fine thanks.
