RED + Optical Viewfinder?

Hi,

one of my 1st posts on the board.

I was recently talking to a friend of mine who is a camera man for the BBC here in N Ireland and he told me that the RED camera will not come with an optical viewfinder. Is this true and forgive my ignorance here as I am just starting to learn all aspects of HD, but will this not be a draw back? Is monitoring being utilised through the camera's LCD?

Thanks in advance.

Plus, a mechanical shutter is a cranky little beast if it gets dusty.http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?p=532111#post532111
I've done some AC work with film camera's and never had any problems with shutters. Although they are rented and regularly maintenanced by the renter, but keeping a shutter clean isn't anything more complicated than keeping your dslr's sensor clean. When does that dust get into shutter, changing the lens in sandstorm? ;-)
At least there's no magazine change, where dust could get through the gate to the shutter...

Im not so worried about dust as i am with the prism light loss.. not acceptable. The RED ONE will have great sensitivity, but still, the less loss the better.

HD is so much easier to work with on a bigger display anyways, as long as that display is hi-def.
