Red Matte box

Sorry if this has been posted or discussed, but I just want to throw out a request to the RED folks to throw in a matte box with the RED RAIL. I mean, come on, the rods and brackets are already there, you guys are wizards with composites, it just seems to make sense. Thank you. That's all.
 
Let's not go overboard guys. There are some great choices for accessories out there (including matte boxes) and if the Red team starts to develop everything under the sun, something will suffer. And I don't think we want that. Let them focus on their core work and get the rest of the pieces elsewhere.
 
There's a lot of desire to see RED make everything, I think, because obscene pricing is so common in the industry and the assumption is RED would make quality products for a lot less money.

But what people should keep in mind is that the availability of RED's camera will create demand for other companies to make much more reasonably priced accessories. In other words, RED will likely change the pricing landscape even for products the company doesn't make itself.
 
Let Red focus on making the core essentials for now. In the meantime, Cavision makes very affordable nice matte boxes. Eventually I could see Red doing all of this. Jim has stated his goal is to become the biggest cinema camera company in the world (as I recall him saying) so I'm sure all in due time.
 
you guys have the right idea.. Red needs to focus on Red One right now.. after the camera is built and shipping and all the other accessories that they have announced are completed, im sure other products will pop up as time and demand go on.
