GH2 RED Epic and GH2 Quantum V9b

Kholi, Do you just break out the epic for paid gigs and then use the gh2 for your own film? Are you already shooting it?

Indeed, Epic comes out for certain paid jobs. Actually haven't used it on any personal creative stuff yet, but might in the near future. The feature in my sig, if that's what you're talkin about, was shot on RED MX and some pre-hack GH2. That's pretty much done (waiting on VFX and some other small things).

The NEXT feature, however, I'm almost sure is going to be hacked GH2. I'm trying to work out some kinks with the camera's operation--like weight and power management, and still learning where you can and cannot go with the image. There's still a little time to decide, if I find I can't make it work comfortably then I'm gonna go back to Epic and shoot the feature out with that.

Kinda don't want to, just because of the data management only, so here's hoping I can sort out a few things with the GH2.

I've already used it for one paying job ,and the random B-roll I shot on this one is getting cut into the show, will be shooting another commercial on it within a few weeks here and some personal web projects.

That's great. The epic really does seem like a beast, in the sense that it's nauseating to think about implementing, logistically & technically speaking and then the whole issue of actually working with the footage... probably completely worth it in every way, but a pain nonetheless. Would be cool to see what you come up with using the gh2 if you go that route.
