Red dock tripod

[JTmoney]

A tripod with a rechargeable docking plate, much like a cordless phone...
Simply plug in the tripod, to any power source. Ready to use? hit the
quick-release button, your charged and ready to go on the move.
Thank you for looking.

I would have never thought of that at all but once you say it, i would really like that. it would cut back on annoying power cords coming stright off camera. Good idea man.

and maybe a zoom control on the tripod handle. just a idea.

I think keeping it simple is the best. I think hubs and zooms on handles is a bit much....

Why? Red is holding itself out as the end-all, be-all, all inclusive solution...why not shoot the gamut and have it all inclusive...period? From a marketing perspective, they'd own the world. Like Apple, it would be all proprietary, no integration problems because they'd do all testing in-house.

If I owned a company making this big of a breakthrough in technology, I'd want to own and control it all.
