RED at NAB?

Has anyone at NAB seen the "RED." There are stories on Engadget and Digg about the $17,500 price tag. Any footage? A working prototype? Anything?

They had already said that there would only be information at NAB...Wow ! some pretty incredible specs and price.

I'm with Coolguy --- when are we actually gonna see a working model, or some footage. Very disappointing (not that I could afford one anyway).

I imagine you won't see any real footage for another five or six months.

They showed 16mm film compressed as M-Jpeg in a private room off the side played via a Kona 3 card off of a single G-Raid firewire drive... The big deal was that they will offer variable bit rate recording...you could not dial up or down bit rate while recording, but you could in between shots...
