I have not posted much at all, but I do spend a lot of time on this site if that counts. So let me get to the point, in the august Below the line Newspaper they had a article on IBC and I noticed a little Blurb on RED. Here's what is said:.....Enjoy
BELOW THE LINE
"On the acquisition front, RED which has made a lot of promises about a dirt-cheap camera that can do anything from 1080p up to uncompressed 4:4:4 60fps, will have a booth at IBC, but don't expect a prototype. The company has caused an uproar in the industry with its claims, and many argue that RED's marketing and hype far exceeds it's capability to deliver, while others have been willing to put down a deposit, and give the company the benefit of the doubt."
"It remains to be seen what exactly the company can deliver, but RED claims to have begun testing its "Mysterium" image sensor, and at press time, the company founder JIM JANNARD was promising to show some of its test footage at IBC."
"RED will again be taking refundable deposits on its hypothetical camera as it did at NAB. Dalsa the only company with a bona fide 4K camera at the moment, won't be at IBC."
So there you go....and Curt aka CVB and I are waiting for our red number
