I have a friend who has some very old and valuable TV content from the 60's who wants it archived to DVD.
In general, I would run the VHS player thorugh component to my PD-150 and get DV quality, but I was just wondering; if I ran the same setup through the HVX set to DVCPRO-50, would the quality be enhanced over DV at all? Same setup, as before with Firewire to computer and use FCP in Capture Now mode.
I realize from a pixel standpoint VHS is about half the quality of DV, but it still makes me wonder???
