recording while away from the camera

here is the scenario. The camera is left locked off in a location and is suppose to record 30min of footage that starts at 11:30pm. Unfortunatly noone will have access to the location from 10pm on. Can i set the clock of the camera and then tell it to start recording at say 11:29pm?

Im using DVX100. Not A or B.

The "Remote" port uses a simple contact closure to trigger the record button.

All you need is some sort of timer that can close a relay at the right time.

Some form of electronic timer that controls a relay basically.

Go to your local electronics store / Radio Shack and tell them when you are looking to to do.

Print out this page: http://dvxuser.com/articles/remote/ and tell them you are looking to replace the button with a timed relay.
