Hi all - perhaps a rookie question. I'm by profession an editor and a relatively new HVX user.
I'm planning a shoot aquiring 1080i 24pA through Scopebox, the idea being that I would have all my scopes to check image and be able to remove advanced pulldown on the fly, ending up with 23.98 files on the hard drive.
The problem is that sound when shooting in HD modes to Scopebox, as far as I can tell from my initial testing and web searching, is worthless. Lots of noise and drop outs.
What I'd like to do is record simultaneously to DV tape, and be able to use the clean audio from the tape, but the HD image from Scopebox capture. Essentially, to have a "dual system" that I would sync in NLE, but to record both "systems" simultaneously in one camera.
Can someone tell me what settings I need to do this? Does anyone have any thoughts about the workflow or alternate solutions to sound issue?
