C100: Record laptop screen or plasma tv at 24p?

If I want to record the screen of a laptop or a plasma tv (or LCD tv for that matter) at 24P without flicker, all I have to do is set the shutter to 1/60 correct?

Have a project to do tomorrow and have to record some screens.

I've tried everything on the C300 to shoot CRT and LCD screens without flicker but to no avail. It may well be that I'm missing something.

Each time I went back to the EX1R in ECS mode and all fine and easy.

So would love to know what I should be doing too.

Correct shutter speed will depend on the refresh rate of the screen. If you are having problems use clear scan mode.

As Liam said - clear scan is your friend. On C300 its under shutter settings.

Have certainly tried clear scan. And this is probably where I'm missing something as I can't see where you can change rate or frequency in clear scan to reduce this - as you easily do on an EX1R.

Would appreciate any input.

Will answer my own question and feel quite daft now. Not sure why we couldn't find it on the last two shoot, but did find where the frequency is set so will test it on some CRT and LCD screens.

For anyone else with the same issue: Clear scan is found in the Camera Set-Up menu; CAMERA SET-UP/SHUTTER/MODE. You then choose the correct frequeny by selecting the shutter as normal by repeatedly pressing the function button until SHUTTER is highlighted, choose the correct frequency and press SET.
