Don't bother with the Ninja for the AF100, get the Samurai instead (if you're wanting an Atomos product). The Samurai has several advantages over the Ninja when used with an AF100.

Thanks again.
PIX 220 is HDMI-only. PIX 240 has both HDMI and HD-SDI. If at all possible, I would encourage people to use SDI for recording instead of HDMI for many reasons (such as Tom mentions).Quick question though, with the pix, it connects to the camera via hdmi right? Or hs sdi? As I currently have my small hd monitor connected that way which could be a problem unless i can get a splitter or something.

Shooter, are you going to have a chance to put a Samurai up against a PIX 240? I think that's the fight of the century, right there, for external recorders. Would be very interesting to know if the PIX is worth the additional thousand bucks. I'd probably still go with the PIX anyway just for the sound recording features, but I'm sure a lot of folks here would really like to know if the Samurai makes for a viable, valid alternative at a grand less...
Awesome thanks for the update shooter! Does the samurai record VFR?

HI Craig,
Thanks for the email with the details.
I can see we meet most of your requirements, I can say we are looking in to the variable frame rates but at the moment I do not know when any kind of implementation will happen.
Best Wishes
