Recommended bags for HMC 150 (carry-on size for plane)

Hello all I'm looking for a bag that can fit the HMC 150 and accesories (mics, headphones etc) but still compact enough to fit in the overhead compartment of an airplane.

I have the Kata MC-61 for my DVX100 but it's too big and always cause me grief when traveling so I'm ditching it (only because of the large size, it's quite durable).

Any recommendations?
Thanks

Highly recommend KATA R-103. Took my HMC 150 from Tucson, Az to Copenhagen, Denmark as carry on. Ita a rucksack type - so great to bring along while hikikng/mountain biking. Very rugged. Can hold xtra stuff such as shutgun mic, xtra large battery, charger. But not too much else.

Panasonic AG-YUC150 Hard Shell Case from BHVideo. Thermodyne makes it. I have had two and travelled world wide first one with my DVX100B and then second with my HMC150. It is made for the camera, air line carry-on approved and holds the basics for the camera. I swear by them and I am always on the road somewhere with my gear.

I used a pricey Tenba Air Case for years with my DVX - they look like a black suitcase but you can stand on 'em in a pinch.

But if you're not checking bags - I'm getting to love backpack-style - flight attendants seem blind to them since they're not in your hands. Getting your travel companion to stand close to you when boarding and "block" the view helps, too. I've traveled on those flights where they announce "no extra carry on" at the desk - with a Martin acoustic guitar strapped to my back.

I didn't want to start a new thread on this, but is there something like a Kata OMB-74 in a backpack form? I'm looking for something to store my 13" MBP, HMC150, shotgun mic, filters, batteries, and on-camera light. If not, is the Kata bag big enough to hold everything I've listed?

Have and fly around with the

I can fit a MBP and 2 HMC150's or 1 and a lot of essentials.

I have a pelican and a petrol pccb-2n. I planned on using the pelican for air travel. But now I just don't trust the airlines. The pelican is for checked baggage only. For day to day use I use the petrol to store everything. The petrol
is heavy and bulky, and strong. Maybe they will let you stow it in overhead. It's big

In the end, this is what I did. I got a lowepro flipside 300. This will fit a 150 with the mike attachment off. Barely. And that's great. It will fit UNDER THE SEAT. It's a pretty well protected bag. I put a small tripod in my suitcase.
The lowepro has straps for a tripod so you can use it to carry both to a shoot. I even daybagged with it. You can fit filters and an extra battery and attach a bottle of water, but that's it.
So when I travel I take my 150 in the lowepro, carry my laptop in a sleeve and take both in the plane. Put the laptop
in the magazine holder and the lowepro under the seat.

The lowepro flipside 300 is carried everywhere so If this might work for you, take your camera there, take out all the velcro compartments and see if teh 150's fit works for you.
This is the leanest way to travel with it, and keep it with you, I think.

I got mine for 60$ on ebay so it's worth thinking about having more than one bag.

Just purchased a Lowepro Nova 200 AW, its a neat fit with the camera. I lifted out the bottom padded section, added some extra foam under it to make a cavity for the extra mic and spare battery, put the padded section back in and the camera on top. The charger, card holder, cables etc fit in the front pouch. Its a very compact solution. I tried about 4 different bags instore, and this was the nicest solution. Backpacks are nice for travelling, but generally we use vehicles so a square bag with opening lid is easier to use onsite.
