Recommendations on, not if, but WHERE to buy the HMC150...

After much thinking, I've finally decide to go with my gut and upgrade from a DVX to a HMC150...but I've ran into some issues along the way...

All I have as an option of payment right now is instant transfer fom my checking account or a debit card. For some reason, B&H won't let me use either (I guess since it's on back order) so now I have a dilemma. Now I have to find a respectable dealer in which my payment methods will work and that will have the camera in stock....

Anyone know of any dealers that currently have HMC150s in stock and have an option to use Payal Instant transfer or debit?

I bought mine through specialized communications via wire transfer. They give you an extra 2% off of your order if you do it that way too. So mine ended up being like $3220 total. They are a great company and very easy to deal with. They shipped my camera out the same day I paid for it.

I did a wire transfer to B&H when I bought my 150. I believe the transfer fee was $30 for Bank of America, but you might be able to get that waived depending on your financial institution. You need to contact B&H and get the SWIFT and account number.

I bought mine from EVS in Burbank, CA. I got the HMC-150, the VW-VBG6 5800mAh battery, a UV filter/lens protector, and a 16GB Kingston SDHC card for $3500 out the door, with tax.

I buy most of my gear from these guys. They're knowledgeable, nice, and have great service. (And I've shopped most of the video supply houses in Los Angeles!)

And I'm pretty sure they'll do a debit card over the phone.

Studio Exchange out of Burbank has some in stock. They charge $3299 per unit. I almost went with them but opted to just get it from B&H where I purchased all of my accessories.

Yeah, I almost feel guilty for not buying from B&H but I can't wait that long! I did buy an extra battery from them and the Bebob Zoe.

B&H is having a NAB special on the HMC150 good until May 7th...$3,099.00 and free shipping I believe.

I bought mine from the B&H website and it showed up in half the time it was supposed to. The transaction was good, no problems and they just sent me a New Huge Catalogue full of goodies to buy :) I'll use them again, 5 stars!

I bought from B&H for a great price, and used "BillMeLater" for 6 months with no interest... worked out well!

I guess my level of frustration is equal to my level of anticipation. Ordered mine from b and h Apr. 28 and still have not received it.

Sigh.

Seems that Amazon.com had it in stock! It arrived today via. UPS...but I wasn't here to sign for it:(.

Either way, it comes back tomorrow! Thanks guys for the suggestions! I'm super stoked!

I got mine at B&H!!! Came with a battery, UV filter, 16gb Card, LCD hood, Azden shotgun Mic, and a bag that is just a little too small to carry everything I want to but it is good for the bare essentials. I think that bundle was $3499. Since I took the trip into the store of course I also bought a pair of wireless lavs, and pelican case for those and a nice new tripod. I was pretty much like a little kid in a toy store, grabbing everything I saw!

I must say that I haven't been able to find anyone local to me that has even come close to B&H's prices or service. I'm sure there are companies out there, but nothing like that by me!
