Hello to all!
I'm a new member to this forum board and I'm trying to save myself from doing a ton of research and getting the 'your a tool shed' comment.
I'm completely virgin to the territory of film-making -- but illustrate, write and layout/storyboard quite frequently. This is just something that I've had a great deal of interest in trying to pursue and I just upgraded from an old L1 to an A1... Oh yeah - the big leap from H8 to HD.
I used to fiddle around with small projects with my L1 (family/friend events), but havent/didnt recieved the finished effect/look of what I was trying to accomplish with that older technology. So the upgrade came within my price range and here I am...
Now I've been very impressed with alot of the members work, but dont exactly know what your using to get these shots, so if anyone on here could help me out with:
- What do you use (camera, add-ons, lenses, gear, lights, sound, etc.)
- Plug-n-play ease
- Durability
- Ability in light conditions
- what you couldnt live without
- links if possible of your work
At this point I'm thumbing through a copy of 'The Guerilla Film Makers Handbook', By Genevieve Jolliffe and Chris Jones -- this is a very informative guide... but some things are just not in there.
Thank you for your time and consideration in giving me any type of information you feel would help myself and others along!
Cheers,
Charlie Howard
