Hi,
I have problem on my hands, and I'm hoping there's a simple solution to this. I just received a Hard Drive with six folders of P2 files. It was shot on an HVX200 with FS100 Firestore. In order to keep using the Firestore they kept copying the files from the FS100 to an external USB drive. That USB drive is what I received. Each folder contains the organized P2 files in the Contents folder.
Now the problem I have is that neither my P2 Viewer or my AVID Xpress can recognize the folders as a P2 Drive. This is my first time working with the P2 format, and I'm not sure whether the problem is on my end, or if the camera assistant didn't copy all the metadata necessary for the P2 files to be recognizable. Now if I don't have that metadata, is there a way for me to still use the files, and if not, is there a way for me to reproduce the metadata?
I read something about needing the LastClip.txt, which I don't have. All I have are the contents folders from each shoot.
I'm editing on Avid Xpress 5.6 on an HP XW8400 PC.
Any help would be great!
