Since I'm somewhat new to the list (joined last November) I thought I'd post some samples of recent projects. These were all completed with the last few months.

Personal Work - shorter version of doc from last spring ( http://vimeo.com/62826779 )

Everything above shot in c-log. Edited by me as well.

I also worked on this as second cameraman and gaffer:

Very nice! Is this with 2 C300s or do you have a different b-cam? Also curious about lighting. C-log really shows what it can do in that shot in full sun outside of Supercuts.

Also, nice work editing their stories together. I know how challenging it can be to carve a story out from someone just talking, as opposed to working from a script.

Nice work.

Thanks.

If this video stuff doesn't work out, I'm opening a SuperCuts!

I can hook you up!

Great job!
Which lenses did you use?
Kinos for lighting?

Thanks.

Lenses are all Canon lenses. Most interviews done on 24-70 II and 24-105. Add'l lenses used are the 16-35 II and some use of primes; 24/1.4 II, 35/1.4, and 50/1.2. The El El Frijoles videos also has 70-200/2.8 IS II shots in it.

Lighting is with Litepanels 1x1s and Litepanels Sola ENGs. I have four 1x1s and two of the Sola ENGs. All are daylight balanced. In general, if I am matching the ambient/room light I'll color meter to get me in the ballpark with filters and then tweak the filtration to taste.

Amount of lighting used varied depending upon the situation, locale, and crew size. The El El Frijoles interviews have just one Sola ENG for fill (crew was just me), most of the Supercuts were 1-3 lights, and the Martha Stewart shoot used all six of my lights.

Thanks. I tend to work unscripted or have so far. Just a loose list of questions and guidelines from the client.

The Supercuts videos were all with two C300s as the basic kit. The two-person interview (Montemurros) was a three-camera setup with a 1D X as the c-camera for the wide two-shot. There is a BTS photo of the setup for that on my blog here and another BTS photo for the Supercuts-Puryear video here (that has two lights you can't see - a 1x1 to camera right and a Sola ENG as backlight on the subject.)
