Rebel T2i Movie-Crop-Funktion

Certainly a cool/fun feature despite being in SD. Does this camera have digital zoom in any of the HD modes? If so, how much?

Would be sweet if you could get to the same pixel level there (though not as zoomed in), and then have the option in post to digitally zoom further or not. With HD video cams, digital zoom throws resolution away, but these sensors have pixels to burn.

Nice, haven't seen that. Though, it's only standard def, this will do nicely for posting concert footage to the web.

I'm hoping to lock down a shot of the whole band with the 5DII and the Rode video mic (with the new manual audio firmware) and then cover the performance with the T2i with 70-200L 2.8 IS II using the 7x crop feature for close ups and then intercut that with the locked down 5DII footage of the whole band. I think this will work pretty well for a quick and dirty multi cam set up for a one man crew. ....hopefully.
