Hello everybody.

This is my first post.

I've been reading dvxuser for several months and learned alot.
Mostly I've learned that my life won't be complete without an A1.
Financially I shouldn't get it until Christmas but the rebate ends this month.
Do you think Canon will offer another rebate or drop prices near or after Christmas?
 
Just get it now and enjoy. You could be hit by a bus before Christmas, and in any case life is too short and we will all be wormsmeat in the end...so REVEL NOW!
 
The rebate ends this month? I'm going to need to jump on this?
When you guys say you think there will be another rebate, how soon do you think that will be? Will it be for more money off then the current $250?

The reason I ask is because my boss was supposed to buy one months ago but I think he's been waiting for the price to drop, even though I told him that might not be for a year or two. If he see's that the price will go up instead, he may finally jump at it.
 
I'm looking at it too right now and want to get it bad - but honestly I do not need it right now. One thing I have learned here in these forums that it is best to wait to purchase equipment until you really need it - unless you have spare cash to blow. I bought a bunch of stuff the past year, because I really wanted it, but haven't used anything yet.

Rebates are nice, but I make it a point to not make it part of my purchase decision. I've never been burned by a rebate, but you never know.
