nice offer, but seems wierd to have to spend so much on stock with a prosumer camera (albiet a very nice one). perhaps the Advanced MQ tapes will offer some sort of advantage when shooting with the HDX?
sounds good and all, but that's in the ballpark of my cost for a Sony 60 min Digibeta load. sure Panasonic have a good reason, just wondering what it is.
You are comparing the street price of the DigiBeta Tapes to the list price on the DV tapes, not exactly a fair comparison. These are high quality SAIT level tapes.
I have also asked Jan the same questions, and she is going to notify all of us when an official bulletin from Panasonic comes down the way. This is all very new, so we have to be patient. :cheesy:
Is there a reason why the battery and the tapes aren't listed on the product website of the camera itself? It mentions the $300, the book (Which i just bought two days ago dangit.), and the magic bullet software but says nothing of the other parts of the offer. I assume that if one were to meet all the requirements and fill the form out today they would still get the battery and the tapes?
Hey dr, take your time, settle your affairs, and call me whenever you are ready. $150 for shipping is ridiculous. Should not cost more than $25 to send that camera anywhere in the country, and $15 for $3000 of insurance. $40 total for 3-day air service.
I just wanted to say that I bought my camera from Rush on the 25th of April, and got it a couple days ago.
I am glad to have it - and I purchased it knowing exactly what I was getting and that I qualified for the $300 rebate.
I appreciate knowing that my investment is coming from a legit business - and have no hard feeling towards the fact that I could have gotten a better deal a week later.
Thanks all involved (Barry - I got your book a couple weeks ago and have been enjoying it. Rush, for making things happen, Jan for setting me up with $300).
Now I just need a G5 to edit with...
Rush...MY MAN....help me out. I have a pricing question that others may want to know. It seems that the new and improved rebate is enticing others to buy, buy, buy so I may also. But I need to know...what is the ABSOLUTE, BOTTOM LINE PRICE I can get the DVX for? I see the website has 3,449.95 listed. So MINUS the DVXuser discount, and the discount for using cash / money order....what am I looking at.....Total out of pocket expense? I know there's still the $300 rebate as well + plus the book, DVD, Tapes, and Software.
