Rebate Checks

Thanks for your help, I did get a letter stating that I should call/email Jan for the book/dvd because it was not inluded with the boxed dvx100a, to which I did immediately. I bought from EVS because everyone feels they are very legitimate. Heck, Tommy and I were on the phone for about 45 minutes trying to make sure I got everything right! I got great advice on my purchases from him.

P.S. I wonder how long it will take to get it?
 
Yes Jan said to just include that letter and she will send out the book. We got a small batch without books, she is fully aware of it. :)

It's amazing how people expect to get their checks back so fast with all the goodies instantly. You have to consider all the cameras that are being bought daily in the US and that each department has to verify that it is a legit camera, from a legit dealer and not one of the grey area ones that are being sold by those fake outlets. You all should be lucky to get the book, tapes and rebate when you bought your camera. A lot of us, Including myself, had to order the book, tapes and buy the camera separately on our own. Not to mention having to purchase UV filters, matteboxes and tripod. And this is without no $300.00 rebate. So all those people who are getting this killer deal should show some patience and consider yourself lucky.
As a note: Sony takes 8-10weeks on the average for any of their rebates to be processed and that is with a UPC code, a special form for each individual item and verified sales receipt. Still it takes a while and not to mention only one item per customer for any rebate.
As for pestering Jan about how slow Panny is in getting their check, Cmon... She is the one, who put this package together for you guys. Remember she can also take the promo away tomorrow.
 
It has been my experience that most companies are slower than mole asses when it comes to sending rebate checks. Most of them even mention in the fine print that it will be 8-10 weeks to receive the check. That is if you followed all their rules to a tee. I have learned that its best to forget about them, and treat it as a bonus when it finally does come.
 
The battery is the big thing with me. I had to go out and buy one anyway, since I couldn't live for 10+ weeks with only a one hour battery. It sort of negates the value, since it will be rare when the four hour and the one hour is not enough, and I actually use the free battery.

I already have extra batteries and tapes and trust me, the $300 check is play money for me and the family for whatever weekend that it comes in. :beer:
 
finally got my battery and tapes 9/6/05...
it took almost 3 months but they did arrive via ups...
FINALLY!!!

So since I am waiting more than 4 months so far, I have to assume that Panny is NOT sending them out first come first serve. WTF ????

When did you get your camera ttt???
 
Atleast they are slowly starting to show up. Anyone else out there have any luck reciving the battery and tapes??
