F5: Reams F5??

Warning message doesn't appear to come on to day which is cool. Just given the venting areas on the camera a gentle going over with vacuum cleaner too in case. Might be as a result of recent two week shoot in Saudi Arabia.
 
I've heard of other F5/55 fan issues after working in dusty or sandy areas. Some people are now putting aquarium filters on the air inlet (above the XLR module) before working in deserts! The fan on the top is just the air outlet, but if it's really dusty it doesn't seem to do any harm putting one on here as well.

Unlikely to be anything to do with 4K hack as your camera is actually doing less processing work!
 
Thanks for getting in touch Paul. I imagine something must have got in there when I was in Saudi Arabia shooting for a couple of weeks. The aquarium is a great shout for these conditions. Is over heating if the fan isn't working, a real issue/danger when shooting with the camera in normal conditions? Best, Sparky
