GH2 Really old lenses - wide

So I'm looking into some ultra-wide (like under 10mm) lenses for my GH2, and have stumbled upon some really vintage (like 1930's+) C-mount lenses. Do these do the trick? Do you have any experience with some of these? I'm not super concerned about vignetting as that will be okay for what I'm using them for. Any thoughts?

C-mount lenses are a crapshoot. Some work, many do not. Best I can say is try them and see.

Or, just buy a Samyang 7.5 or 8mm and be done with it.

With C mount lenses it isn't a matter of vignetting, those generally don't cover the m4/3 sensor unless you're in extended tele mode. You might keep an eye out for a used Olympus 9-18mm f4-f5.6 ultrawide zoom. It's plenty sharp, rectilinear correct (no, that's not a medical term) very nice lens.

B&H has it for $799, I found one used on mu-43.com for $480 and it's a great ultra wide to 35mm perspective lens. Someone had them for even less than I paid refurbished I think.

Just save your nickels (lotsa nickels) and watch the buy/sell forums.
