REAL cinema anamorphics on the 5d mark 2!

I think all of that was on a 75mm.

Yes the adapter is better for the 7D if your not shooting anamorphic as you can use most all of the lomo oct-19 mount primes and zooms.

Could you point out the 75mm amongst your shots please?

Do you think you would be able to get this adapter on a 7D?

Love the first window shot with the brown wall. The video looks great.

what's the focusing like on this lens? No iscorama limits?

Nope- perfectly smooth focusing- no image shifts. No breathing or anamorphic "Mumps". Ive used my lomo roundfronts in PL mount on Reds many times- the roundfront lomo's are made for communist cinema! ; )

(Here is a commercial I shot on my Red with these roundfront anamorphics for reference: http://www.vimeo.com/6520021) But the Red crops the image a bit as its not the full size of a 4-perf anamorphic gate.

could we have a RACk focus footage test. Would love to see an anamorphic rack focus from closeup to infinity

Congrats-It should be fine-The lenses can seem not sharp if the rear prime lens isnt perfectly set at infinity, if your lens doesnt seem sharp or if the flare is off axis you can easily fix it. The rack focus stuff is just like a said- no noticable breathing and no jumps.

Just installed the rest of my focus gears, here is the 75mm and what it looks like on the screen. Getting pretty front heavy! More like holding a lens with a camera attached.

really like the footage! so wonderful :)

btw can you please describe more detail on the lens? thanks!

I could probably do something like that, how about full frame 4-perf size anamorphic? I was planning on shooting timelapse anyways.

Hunter this is probably the single most exciting development with the 5d in quite a while. Truly breath-taking. I read that the 7d requires a Canon rep to mod the camera. is that also true of the 5d? Also you make mention of Shake. Once you shoot do you have to process the video in Shake somehow?

i think hunter got the adaptor version, I just got my replacement version. I am going to have to take out the canon bayonet system out of the camera. Looks like it's more complicated than unscrewing the 4 screws. Will post images of the process.
