What is the maximum write speed of the T2i for ML RAW video recording?

Which SDCARD is recommended to get the most out of the T2i?
 
AFAIK, the card controller in these old SD cameras is so old and slow that RAW doesn't make any sense. The more recent rebels and the EOS-M are better. And CF cameras, a lot better.

hmmm it says "SD Card Bottleneck", I wonder what they are referring to? Not testing it with a fast enough card?

Also at 960 x 540 RAW (not sure what frame rate, 24p?) a guy on youtube showed that ML warned that it would need "26 MegaBytes per second". So if it can do 960 x 540 RAW video then I am assuming it also does 26 MB/s?

It's actually the SD card controller, the electronic bits between the SD card and the processor that is the bottleneck. You can get the fastest card in the world, but if the data is getting slowed down before it gets to it, it won't do you any good. It's like having an eight lane superhighway squeeze down to one lane then back to eight. No problem if you only have a couple cars on the road, but a big problem with eight lanes full of cars at rush hour. In Canon's defense, these cameras were never supposed to hit data speeds anywhere near raw data throughput since they were designed to shoot stills and compressed H264 video. For stills and H264 the controller is more than adequate.
