Just bought a second T2i body. Has firmware 1.0.9 installed already.

I'm installing the XMAS Update version of ML and this T2i does not recognize it. However when I install the previous version of ML (prior to the XMAS update) it works!

I even took out the SDCard from my OTHER T2i with the XMAS Update and the newer T2i still did not recognize the XMAS Updated version of ML.

What is going on here?

Obvious question, but did you remember to set the bootflag? If you've been running ML for a while, you may have forgotten all about this step!

Try updating Canon firmware: http://magiclantern.wikia.com/wiki/Unified/Install

Older versions do not check firmware version. There are more versions labeled by Canon as 1.0.9, and they are slightly different inside. Use the one from ML links.

You bet, I had to do it the old way too by using the previous method of copying the magiclantern.fir onto an SDHC card and then "updating firmware" on the T2i. Then I made my other SDXC bootable using the EOSCard application. And placed the older ML software onto it. The T2i booted with the older ML working. Then I overwrote the older ML software with the XMAS edition version and it did not boot!
