I'm getting this really weird behavior from ML on my T2i.

When I am in video mode and hit the record button, the T2i will stop automatically ONLY WHEN there is high exposure.

Therefore when I put the lens cap back on, the ML does not stop recording, but when I take it off and point the T2i at my bright window a meter bar on the right side will go to maximum and then it will stop recording. WHAT IS GOING ON HERE????

NOTE: My Intervalmeter is OFF.
 
Slow/fragmented card?

Also, make sure you understand how the bitrate control works before using it, and keep in mind CBR (including firmware default setting), at some point (including when you cover the lens), becomes VBR (QScale can't go outside [-16...+16]).

Yes I think you are right, it was because my CBR was too high. The gauge on the right side I believe shows up when the buffer is overrun, in this case it could be due to a too high of a bitrate in ML. Will check it out when I get home.
