General Re: 70D HDMI Output?

It's not clean. Basically mirrors the LCD. Turn off the overlays for a clean preview. It also doesnt send an HD signal during recording so an external recorder isn't an option. Live view is also disabled when HDMI is used.

What about recording the clean preview, I mean, prior to hitting record? Is that an option? Mine seems to send an overlay-clean good looking image before I hit record.
