Ravens vs Cardinals Photoshoot

i'm on a team of 15 shooters to do tailgating and in-stadium shots of Baltimore Ravens fans. i have a Canon T3i (less than 2 weeks old) with a PNY Class 6 16gb sdhc card. i'm wondering how many photos can that card hold ? i am bringing an extra sdhc card and battery.

do i really need to shoot in high quality or can i skimp on the quality to get more photos ? advice plz.....
 
Just put the card in the camera, it'll show you how many pictures you can take at the different settings....

At RAW I'm going to guess between 500 - 600 pictures, in high quality Jpeg it'll be 1000-ish
 
i guess i haven't played with it that much. it has a 16gb card in it now. reading is fundamental....:cry:
 
you can shoot about 650 RAW stills in that card, about 500 if you shoot RAW+JPG, and aobut 2500 if you shoot JPEG only - I'd shoot RAW; when the camera tells your you can only shoot 200 stills more, switch to JPEG only and you can take 800 stills more - in any case, get the card in the camera, set your format, and it will tell you how many sills you can shoot before the card is full (on my T2i, IIRC it's the big number in the low-right corner; if it is above 999, it may just say 999)
