Re: rattle when turned off

I don't see the point in messing with people when they are coming here for help. Kind of defeats the purpose. It's not like this was a small purchase, and when the people you buy from don't know of the problem it makes you worry. I came here for help and instead was subjected to some egomaniacs with a lot of time on there hands. I also never slandered Beach Camera I said they called me back and the tech said the noise was normal. But hey good for you guys
;)

Anyway, it's just a little thing we do.  It's harmless little initiation, and what I said stands -- it only takes a VERY FEW minutes of research to figure out what the click is (check the subtitle of this sub-forum), so if you don't even bother to look and just post the question, you open yourself up to razzing. And if you've done adequate homework before you make a $3400 purchase, you probably should know about it already, anyway.

Game on! ;D

Re: rattle when turned off

It's strange that the Optic Stabilizer is only referenced a couple of places on the entire internet regarding the DVX100 or DVX100A. Yet, Panasonic says not a word about it in a number of places--not even listed in the "features", and not even in their tech specs manual.

WHY? It doesn't really seem to be that strong a feature, but, it warrants SOME mention. Are they underplaying it deliberately?
