GH4 Random Stabilization Question

I'm seriously looking at the GX7 for a third camera to go with my GH2 and GH4, or maybe even replace my GH2, and just had a random thought. Since the GX7 has in body stabilization, when coupled with a stabilized lens, is the footage even more stable? Does this cause more problems on a tripod like the stuttering and jumping you sometimes see? Just curious. Thanks for any input!

It's one or the other not both combined

You can either have lens stabilization or in camera stabilization

By the way, I am selling my low use GX7, PM if you are interested, cheers

It is my understanding that the GX7 has stabilization for stills only, so no video stabilization... for that, you'd need stabilized lenses, I'd guess.

Just to add for emphasis: GX7 IBIS is for stills only, and if you try IBIS + OIS with any Olympus camera and Panasonic lens combination, you'll just end up with horribly jittery images.

From my understanding, if you engage O.I.S. it overides the cameras stabilization system.

ALSO

I beleive OldCorpse is correct, In Camera Image Stabilization does not work in video mode, only stills mode. However, lenses with OIS will work in both video and stills mode.

With the GX7 yes; I was talking about Olympus cameras, where other people had a similar idea.
