Do you have one of those friends who peppers their conversation with random movie quotes that have only a fleeting relevance to the topic at hand? If so, this thread is for you!

I'll start with one of the great comedy monologues of all time. Should we attribute or is it more fun to guess?

"Look Nick, I'm not going to bullshi* you. I don't know you. I don't know your work, but I think that you're a very, very talented young man. And I'm never wrong about these things - Excuse me... Keith? Could I have another Cointreau and soda and could you send an almond torte over to the gentleman in white suit in the corner?


Look, Nick, I'm not going to bullshi* you - because it's a waste of time and it then it becomes like that thing. I'm not talking to you! I'll call you. I'm very, very aware that you are seeing other agents. And I think it's good that you are. Finally I mean it's healthy. But, this is the thing. If you decide to sign with me, you're going to get more than an agent. You're going to get three people. You're going to get an agent, a mother, a father, a shoulder to cry on - someone who knows this business inside and out. Anyone ever tries to cross you, I'll grab them by the balls and squeeze 'til they're dead.

Whenever someone suggests something my wife isn't likely to go for:

"That won't please Heather! I'll tell you that for nothing."

Or, much more obscure, when a friend doesn't go for a suggestion of mine . . .

"Dude! You did the the same thing when I gave you Tales from Topographic Oceans."
 
Anytime I part company I'm likely to say "See you on the other side, Ray." Regardless of the name of the other person.

It is a rare person that can come back with the appropriate response.
 
mostly stuff from ghostbusters. every now and then I throw in a "tell 'em about the twinkie". don't know why. and anytime I drop something or make a mess I shout "the flowers are still standing!"
 
Anytime I make a mistake, which is often...

"There go the goddamn brownies!"

and

"In SouthEast Asia, we'd call this kind of thing 'bad karma'".
