just flying around my house with the A1 and glidecam 2000. White balanced to this yellow shirt, crushed in camera, and ND'ed it up.

day for night? thanks for the comment!

just not sure about shooting that day for night, as opposed to just a nice effect. I mean, shooting day for night against windows is probably the wrong idea as you want you exterior to be dimmer, generally, than your interior.

but im sure from certain angles its dooable, would have to bump the amount of light inside the house tho to lower the contrast ratio.

Hahaha. I also got the idea you were going for a day for night effect...of course you would have to mask some of the window shots.

Of course the windows couldn't be in the shot! :D But it would be great if you didn't have them in the shot. Like the first picture.

Nice 2.3:1.

lol, i wasnt going for day for night! haha, just something really beautiful and aesthetic. call it experimental if you will hehe.

I'd say maybe a bit too dark. Not a whole lot to look at I guess...A blown out window, and some faint detail around the walls/pictures.

How are you liking the A1 in combination with the 2000? I am about to purchase the 2000 and armbrace I think.

honestly, its great. I mean, the camera is definitely the glidecams limit, but it works.

and yeah, i was going for a really ( not scene useful ) but extreme styalistic look, just seemed cool.
It was like playing with motion in space. The interior is so dark at some points that it almost makes it seem like the exposed bits are moving around in space. I dunno, i guess i have been in my film 1 class too long with students who like filming spinning glass and weird artsy fartsy stuff.

Im more into narrative, but this seemed like a neat idea.

what's nicely visible from these grabs is that the A1 has such nice rolloff in both the highlights and shadows, compared to the 'other' HD-cams (*cough* sony *cough*)

actually, that was a white diffusion from magic bullet that creates that softness. lol, i wish the camera were so.
