Random crashes

my FCP 6.0.6 randomly crashes... it could be a blank project, just after a while of being open it unexpectedly quit. It also can no longer find my camera files in the 'log & transfer'.

I use a panasonic gh1, it was capturing footage from it with no problems last week.

The only thing i've changed is that I've installed nattress and magic bullet looks. could it have caused this crashing issue?

Please help, I'm trying to start production on my latest documentary on march 1st.

PLEASE HELP

I tried deleting my preferences files and that didn't work either.

I can even show you my screen using skype if that will help

Doesn't the GH1 uses long and transfer?

If that is correct, can you merely mount the SD card with a reader and then point the L/T to it.

What computer, OS and QT versions, how much RAM, and do you have Perian installed? Have you uninstalled those two plug in packages?

Repaired permissions? Set up a new user account and tried that?

iMac 2ghz intel
mac os x 10.6.2 (snow leopard)
2gb ram

final cut pro 6.0.6
magic bullet looks 1.2
nattress

QuickTime 10.0

don't think I have perian. What is that?

I tried reseting permissions, trashing preferences, and copying my avchd folders to the hdd so I can point log and transfer to them.

Still doesn't work.

I have not tried making a new user account. But I don't want 2 different users on my mac just to edit video. I will try it though.

I can try uninstalling the plugins, but how exactally do I do that? I come from the land of windows. Lol. Do I just find the files and trash them?
