Hey Mike B., yes, I wish I could do a direct comparison with the PL, but the main characteristics, such as the large view window, the ability to accommodate the shotgun mic and fold out LCD, and the space to get hands inside the rain case appear to be the same...and that certainly has me sold on the Kata rain cover. Good pictures of your camera with the CRC-15 PL by the way...! Yes, lots of shiny plastic to make it hard..!!
Will post a separate topic when I have a chance to setup my Pro Am crane (still in shipping) with all equipment 'rain-protected'. Camera and monitor are ok, but don't have a solution yet for my Studio 1 ProZoom remote control unit...when I was with the Naval Reserve and navigating on minesweepers, on the rainy days we used to use a condom to cover the microphone on the exposed bridge...but I don't think that is going to work with the Studio 1 remote...will need to find a different solution. Maybe something like the Op/Tech Rainsleeve: http://optechusa.com/rainsleeve.html or maybe just a baggie (?)..., no, I think I'll need something a little more 'tear-resistant'...so will keep looking.
