Quick website hosting question

where is a good place to host my website, and be able to put my films on the site as well? what are some of the ones you guys and gals use? i'm thinking of using siteground.com... anyone heard good or bad things about it? thanks!

I agree, Bluehost is the way to go. Not only do they have a very generous hosting package, a dirt cheap price, and incredible customer service, but they'll give $65 to Isara (DVXuser's Official Charity) if you sign-up using the link below.

I got 300 gb space, 3tb bandwidth, for 4 bucks a month. They are located IN Los Angeles, and so far I believe they don't outsource any calling or support, and you can get through with no wait time most all day.

I bought my hosting over the phone, and it was FULLY setup with 15 mins. None of that 24 hr bogus.

Go Daddy is nice, very user friendly, but too overpriced.

That really shouldn't matter. As long as they have a very good connection to the internet, speed shouldn't be an issue.

I have an account at hostgator and currently looking into renting a server from theplanet. Hostgator has good support.

the past few times i tried to update my site, the changes weren't put up on the site. i just went ahead and cancelled my package with them, and i'm going to wait the 60 days to rebuy my domain name, with someone else.

really? I'm in Vancouver - you can't really get further out than that unless you have a boat.

As for slowness, just check out our site www.dabbler.ca and watch a couple of videos. they are all hosted on 1and1.com with the business package. I think you'll agree that there is nothing wrong with the download speed.
