GH2 Quick Final Cut Question

A couple of quick questions. I realize this has probably been discussed, but I just wanted to make sure my thinking is correct.
I am shooting a short BTS for a recording studio artist and will be delivering files to the client to give to their editor. I am just shooting GH2 1080p 23.976 and wanted to make sure that delivering the mts files in the Private folder is still the correct method so their editor can log and transfer in Final Cut.
Second option would be if they preferred, I could cut out all of the unusable footage and upload to their server.
If I use this method what would be the best option for transcoding out of CS5 media encoder.
Thanks

Thanks David,
These guys are all Mac at the studio, so I assume they won't have any problem making a usable image from the card. I am running PC workstation and CS5 PP, so am not always sure regarding Mac and Final Cut questions.
So if I offered as a courtesy to cut out the unusable footage is this just a bad idea because this would mean re-encoding the files to deliver as opposed to delivering a raw MTS file?

I haven't had any problems using just the private folder.

FCP knows how to read this folder using it's Log and Transfer method of ingesting footage. If you wanted to cut out bad takes you should probably do it in camera, but some good documentation on what to cut would probably be better and safer.

Now it appears, that I may be cutting it......good I hate when people see your bad takes!
But thanks for the info, I'll store it away for next time.
