FS5: Quick answer please! Using a Sigma 50mm f1.4 Art lens on a FS5

I'm on a job where the client would like me to use their Sigma 50mm f1.4 Art lens on my FS5. They currently have a E mount Fotodioz Pro EF-Nex Auto adaptor that they are using on their Sony A7Sii. On their set up they can adjust the iris electronically via the A7Sii's iris interface. The moment I put it on my FS5 I get a 'Cannot execute functions because of the condition of the lens' message. So I assume the FS5 won't pair electronically via this adaptor with this lens.

I need a quick solution (since I start shooting in the morning) even if it means getting an alternative adaptor delivered overnight.

Please can anyone advise?
 
Sorry, I don't know anything about your lens/adapter combo but do try cleaning the contacts on both the adapter and the lens.
 
Doh! it was the AF. Sorry guys. I just assumed the adaptor would give me AF if it was giving AE on his A7Sii. Thanks for helping. Huge relief at my end!!!.... and feeling silly.
 
I wasn't/aren't intending to use AF it just happened to be on from some run-n-gun b-roll I was last shooting with the FS5.
