Hello-
I'm importing footage from a P2 card into Final Cut Pro 5.1.2, and want to make sure I'm doing everything right. The footage was shot in HD at 720 24pN. I have been "ingesting" the clip files directly through Final Cut Pro (File>Import>Panasonic P2...).
Everything seems to be working fine, but I want to make sure I'm importing at the highest possible quality.
-Is this the correct way to import the footage, and is there any quality loss?
-Do I have to adjust settings in FCP's Easy Setups? At the moment, it is in the default mode of NTSC-DV (I am only importing footage now, not doing any editing)
-Do I have to adjust anything in the Audio/Video settings? Since I am ingesting, and not capturing, do these settings matter for this process?
Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
