questions about firestore

Do you guys use the firestore fs-4? Does it capture 24p? How do I capture to premier pro 24p timeline? I just tried recording to a cheap hdd camcorder from my DVX100b just out of curiosity to if it would work or not. But Premier pro does not show that a device is online for capture. It just shows up as an extra drive on "my computer". So I just tried dragging and dropping the video but its all choppy. Does the firestore come with software or would premier recognize it?

Yes, the FS-4 should work. PP won't see it as a device, but just another drive. You might want to check the settings on the FS-4. I think you need to have it set to avi type 2. When you browse the fs-4, are the clips showing as an .avi file?

I had a weird problem where the first clip I recorded would always come up as garbage. The rest would be fine. I reformatted the drive and installed the latest firmware and that fixed it for me.
