Question to GH2 users who also own GH1(3)

I use my Gh1 when the only battery my GH2 has dies! :-) Now that I just acquired a 2nd battery, my guess is the GH1 now goes to my wife who always bugs me when I shoot stills because she doesn't have a camera.

Sold it(and not for a loss) Even with the hack I was still not sold on the GH1(3) in many ways. For me anyways the gh2 is superior in every way. Even when I had the hack installed I could get mud in wide high details shots and as of yet I haven't seen the gh2 break apart in similar fashion.

Plus playing around with the 40fps burst mode is just plain fun.

Panasonic made a big mistake by blocking GH1 hacking. They missed the opportunity to sell a lot more GH1 units last year at higher price. As long as they can release a new model with good improvement, custom firmware hacking can boost the sales figure. I'm pretty sure magiclantern's custom firmware for 550D has contributed to some of their phenomenal sales, and iphone JB also boosted iphone sales.

No plans to buy GH2 - GH1 hacked is the best thing going.

I use them both a lot. I'm keeping the GH1 because it's been such a reliable workhorse.
I am using the GH2 more but that's because I'm still learning it, but I think it'll be more a matter of which lens is on which camera and whether the battery is full

Horses for courses. I liked the gh1(3) in certain situations, but "best" is a pretty generous term I think. Maybe you have a nicer sensor on your gh13 than I did. I went through 3 models before the last one was acceptable, but FPN/streaking drove me up the walls still.
