Editor here: I'm being asked by my crew if they can use C300 cameras for an upcoming reality TV series. I haven't dealt directly with the camera and therefore only have the limited information from the canon website. I've got a meeting on this tomorrow, so please forgive me if my questions seem lazy at all. I'll be researching all night, but I would also like to get info directly some the source of camera operators.
The C300 FAQ says that "Timecode can be set using RecRun or Free run methods" -- does this mean the C300 does not support time-of-day timecode, even if being jammed from a lockit box or audio recorder?
The FAQ also lists that the camera has 2 XLR audio inputs - so, I'd just like to the confirm: the camera only has 2 audio channels, and NO onboard mic, correct?
Any general usage stories - quirks, complaints, compliments, I would love to hear them also. Anything to give me real-world-usage information.
Again: this is for a reality series. 4 cameras, shooting round the clock. Expecting them all to be jam-synced.
