Question for the HDMI users - why no 1080i live out for me??

Hey guys,

And especially the HDMi out users on the 7D -

I bought a mini-HDMI to HDMI last night, hooked it up to the 1080p TV last night during live view -

It still gave me a 4/3 window out.....pillar boxed within the 16/9 TV
During playback (only) it was full HD

DId I read right in the other threads about there being full 1080i out during LIVE VIEW?
Did I neglect to toggle an output setting on or off?

Press info until it almost fills the whole screen. Isn't full screen because the sensor isn't 16:9, but it's close.

Sorry.. 'info' on the camera, or just zooming in on the LCD television's 'zoom' function?

i think pressing menu button cycles 3 different modes...one of them fills my monitor and is higher res(i dont know if its full hd tho)

Oh I get it, the output is 1080i, but allowing for the 4/3 sensor to fit in that 16/9 window?
I'll take another look later tonight

Most likely only through a hack like the Magic Lantern for 5d...
