Question for T2i users that use Vegas Pro 9

Have you had any luck using this software to edit T2i footage. My buddy with FCP on his Mac Pro is moving away and I only have a PC. Thanks for posting!

Yes, for me it works perfectly. But you cant edit the files directly from the camera. You either need to use mpeg streamclip or cineform neoscene to convert the footage before editing.

Works well, but as mentioned, don't expect to be able to edit the native files too well.

I've just tried the trial version of Epic I, which appears to work perfectly within Vegas - http://dvfilm.com/epic/index.htm

I purchased EPIC I and it really is great, playback is buttersmooth while maintaining good quality preview, with just one click you can render at full quality again. Stable as well, no comparison to editing native files. You can also try Avid's DNxHD codec which is free and similar to cineform, slightly better quality but slower, you'll have to try if your machine can play it back properly.
