Question about the DVX 100 a/b

i dont know if this is the correct thread but i thought i would ask anyways. i keep reading posts about the DVX 100 a/b's and i keep seeing people say like "it has a good 80 hours left" or "a good 40 hours left" - i dont quite understand the meaning of this. anybody care to explain to a confused man haha

its not how many hours it has left. It how many hours are on the tape heads. So when buying a used DVX the lower the number the better.

ahhhh ok, i see. is there a limit that can be reached to where they stop working? or ware out? - im assuming thats why some people choose to capture footage with a seperate smaller camera huh
