Can someone with the update test something? I want to know what bitrate it uses for 720 24p footage- the HVX records 720pn 24 at 40mbps- will Premiere do this too?
For 720p24 and/or 720pn24?

You could do this: shoot a quick 720PN 24 shot. Import it, and then export it with the DVCPRO HD setting (or whatever Premiere calls it). Then compare the bitrates.

Premiere doesn't record footage if I understand your question.

I've exported out of a Premiere timeline and the footage has the same data rate as the original 720/24pn footage.

Both are 47.52 mbps
